MakerYatra: A Journey to Celebrate Makers

The Inspiration Behind MakerYatra: MakerYatra draws its inspiration from the impactful journeys of Jagruti Yatra and Narmada Prena Yatra. Just like these initiatives, MakerYatra aims to travel through various regions, connecting with people who have found their passion in making, and have turned their skills into a source of empowerment.

How It All Started: The concept of MakerYatra was designed by Dhruv Saidava, with a vision to explore the untold stories of makers in rural areas and beyond. In 2018, with partnerships from The Good Human Being Foundation and Encube Labs, the first edition of MakerYatra was conducted around the villages of Sabarkantha, Gujarat. This journey allowed us to meet inspiring individuals, each with a unique story of dedication, innovation, and resilience.
